The marble difference

Beautiful and easy to clean.

Marble offers a smooth, non-porous surface that is easy to wash—making it an appealing alternative to worn, deeply grooved boards.

Non-porous surfaceMarble does not absorb liquids the way porous materials can.
Easy to cleanThe USDA lists marble among nonporous surfaces that are easier to clean than wood.
Less odor & stainingA dense surface is less likely to absorb food liquids, odors and stains.
Made to displayUnlike a board you hide away, beautiful marble can go from prep surface to centerpiece.

Food-safety note: No cutting board is automatically “safe.” Wash with hot, soapy water after use, avoid cross-contamination, and replace boards that develop hard-to-clean grooves or damage. Marble is also a hard surface and can dull knives faster than wood.
